Ha Giang, 300 km away from Hanoi, located at the highest latitude in Vietnam. It is surrounded by Cao Bang, Tuyen Quang, Lao Cai, and Yen Bai. It shares a border with China in the north. Many ethnic minorities, including the Dao, H’mong, Tay, and Nung, live in Ha Giang province Vietnam.



Day1 Ha Noi – Mai Chau (150km) Home-stay.





After breakfast, we take a taxi to get to the starting point at the outskirt of Hanoi, from here you take the bikes and start your first day ride to Mai Chau.

Leaving Hanoi and breaking out of the delta plains, we pass through endless limestone karts scenery as we travel up to the Northwestern region, the extensive farming lands comprising a sea of paddy fields split by tree-lined roads. Arrive in Mai Chau in late afternoon, night o a stilt house of the Thais Minority peoples, dinner with the family.


Day2  Mai Chau – Nghia Lo (230km) 2 stars standard hotel.



We head up today into a forested and high mountain region populated by H’mong people, We will hike up a very high mountain pass before descending into a mountainous tea-growing region. Soon after we follow a long valley floor covered in a sea of rice surrounded by Hmong and Thai’s villages all the way to Nghia Lo, Overnight in Muong Lo Hotel, a standard 2 stars hotel, Dinner in town.



Day3 Nghia Lo – Than Uyen – Sa Pa (250km) 2 stars standard hotel.



Today we head straight towards the main Fansipan Mountain range. The massive mountain range dominates the road until Sapa. We will make a splendid climb up from Binh Lu to the top of the highest road pass in Vietnam (Tram Ton Pass). Crossing into Lao Cai Province at over 2000m, The view looks out over the main range for miles and miles. We descend to the mountainous Sa Pa valley. Dinner in town, overnight at hotel.



Day 4 Sa Pa.



The morning is reserved for a ride to Lao Chai and Ta Van to discover the villages of the Hmong and Tay peoples. Return in town for lunch. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at hotel.


Day 5 Sa Pa – Ha Giang (240km) 2 stars standard hotel. Possibility to do home-stay.



We start from Sapa and ride to Lao Cai, a short stop to visit the Chinese border. Continue to Viet Quang by taking a small road, during your way, you will have chances to visit many roadside ethnic villages and markets. Stop for lunch in Viet Quang. Arrive in Ha Giang in the afternoon, Dinner in town, overnight at hotel,


Day 6 Ha Giang – Dong Van (150km) 2 stars standard hotel



Today’s ride must be highlights of the trip as we will visit one of the most remote land in Vietnam where are special with many ethnic groups with their unique cultures and imposing mountains – the “Heaven Gate” in Quan Ba, Rock Plateau and the Vuong palace in Dong Van. Dinner and overnight in Dong Van.


Day 7 Dong Van – Bao Lac (110km) Guest house.



After breakfast, We leave Dong Van for Bao Lac. The scenic route climbs over the Ma Pi Leng Pass where we can enjoy beautiful mountain ranges and the Nho Que river - Just an amazing place to be - the heaven on earth while passing on the Happy road. We descend down to Meo Vac valley, a beautiful valley situated very close to Chinese border. Lunch in a local restaurant. Arrive in Bao Lac in the afternoon. Dinner in town overnight at guest house.


Day 8 Bao Lac- Ba Be (110km) Home-stay in the Tay village.



After 30 km riding on paved road, we will take a small beautiful trail going thought the jungle, we ride across many streams and river, a great day for off-road ride. Continue to Babe lake where the landscape is amazing and the home stay is another unique experience. Upon your arrival, we will take a boat trip to discover the National Park. Dinner and overnight in home stay of a Tay family.



Day 9 Ba Be – Hanoi  ( 240km )



Staying off the main road for as long as possible we head back towards the Red River Delta, passing through areas inhabited by Hmong, Dao, Tay and Nung minority peoples. A mixture of both challenging track and glorious sealed road all the way back to Hanoi. Arrive in Hanoi by 5pm, say goodbye to the tour guide and the bikes. Motorcycle trip ends. Free time.
Day 0 : Hanoi - Lao Cai 400 km

Night train to Lao Cai (LC5 , soft sleeper, dept 21.30) , you will be picked up at from your hotel 20.30 by our car driver and transfer to Hanoi train station. Night on train.

Day 01 : Lao Cai – Sapa.

Arrive at Lao Cai train station from 06.00 to 06.30. pick up and transfer by bus or car to Sapa-32kms. Arrive at Sapa town. Check in hotel for breakfast, Group meeting organized by tour guide about all information related to the ride. Start riding at 10.00 to Ta Phin village, small dirt road, many stops to visit the Hmong’s life. Return in town for relaxing and exploring the town of Sapa. Dinner and night at hotel.




Day 2, Exploring Sapa and the surrounding villages.

Leaving Sapa, we ride on a small paved road going down hill until Ta Van, Lao Chai villages, the road gets smaller and muddy when we ride from Ta Van to Lao Chai, many points for sightseeing or taking picture of the Hmong villages. Continue the ride to Ban Ho village where we will stop for lunch in a small restaurant. Take a walk to visit the waterfall near by the village before ride back to Sapa. Dinner and night at your hotel.

Day 3, Sa Pa – Ha Giang 240km, 5 hr ride. Home-stay.

We start from Sapa and ride to Lao Cai town, a short stop to visit the Chinese border. Continue to Viet Quang by taking a small road going along the Chinese border, during your ride, you will have chances to visit many roadside ethnic villages and markets. Stop for lunch in Viet Quang town. Arrive in Ha Giang in the afternoon, Dinner and overnight at home stay.

Day 4, Ha Giang – Dong Van – Mèo Vac 180km 6 hr ride. 2 stars standard hotel

Dong Van Town is located in the heart of Dong Van Rock Plateau, which was recognised as part of the Global Geo-Park Network last year, the Dong Van old quarter is home to age old and unique architecture near Ha Giang Province's border with China

Day 6, Visit Ba Be, ride to Bac Kan, 70km, hotel.

Ba Be is Vietnam’s largest natural lake and is now the centrepiece of an extensive National Park. The park and the surrounding area is limestone country, so lakes, waterfalls, caves and unusual rock formations abound. The whole area is richly forested and home to many ethnic minority communities.

After visiting a local market (if on the market day), we will load the bikes on boat and start a boat trip to discover the beautiful lake and its National park. Stop for a pich-nich lunch in a cave. Right after the cave we will unload the bikes from the boat and take a ride to Bac Kan town for the night. Arrive in Bac Kan at the end of the afternoon. Diner in town, night at hotel.

Day 7, Bac Kan – Hanoi, 190km, 5 hr ride.
