North Vietnam trekking explorer 12 days

We start the hiking tour in the north and work our way on foot, vehicle and train. The scenery on hiking is such you forget about time and distance as the surroundings become so enthralling. The ability to interact with the locals in the local markets and villages is a highlight of the tour and you will be left with an amazing feeling towards the Vietnamese for they have so little which they share so freely.
  
Day 1: Hanoi

Hanoi Arrival (D). We are met and transferred to hotel in Ha Noi. Group meeting and welcome dinner in Vietnamese restaurants.

Day  2: Hanoi-Pu Luong, trek to Sai and Hang villages.

Depart from your Hanoi hotel at 7:00 am transferring to Mai Chau. We will then leave Mai Chau for a short ride along the Ma River (22 km) to Sai village. Off the bus and off the beaten path, we begin our trek to Duom and Hang villages. For 2.5 hours we we will trek (~ 10 km ) through outstanding mountain scenery and picturesque rice paddies, see hand-crafted bamboo water wheels, and talk with the lovely local people. Day  3:Pu Luong, trek to Eo Ken and Kho Muong villages (6 hours ~ 20 km). DSCN3280

The daily life here starts early, it will be interesting for you to get up at the first sign of day light and take part in the activities in the morning, or take a stroll around Hang village before having breakfast with our new Thai friends. Start trekking at 8:00 am. Today we will be walking for a approximately 5 to 6 hours. The first section is hard with some steep climbs and stream crossings. The second stage is glorious with beautiful views of the valley, rice terraces, rich rain forests, and meandering streams. Picnic lunch on the way at Eo Ken village. Arrival in Kho Muong village is always special as the setting of the village is perhaps the most beautiful in Vietnam, nestled between steep karst mountains with rice terraces in the afternoon sun. Spend our second night nearby in a typical Thai eco, stilt home in Kho Muong village. Includes: (B), (L), (D).

Day  4:Pu Luong, trek to Hin village (6 hours~ 22 km).

The sounds of village life will tell you that morning has arrived. Breakfast then trek to Hin village (5-6 hours). On this route we will encounter some steep climbs and more stream crossings. Along the way we will visit an incredible cave, only recently discovered, now protected by the Forest Rangers. The trekking will become more and more remote although one is never that far from a villager tending their fields. Pass steep limestone mountains and curiosity conjuring caves, through the dense rain forests all inside the borders of the Pu Luong Nature Reserve and onto Nua village.  Includes: (B) (L) (D)

Day  5:Pu Luong, trek to Ton village (7 hours~ 20 km ), return to MaiChau- Driving MocChau.

Get up early morning if you would like to observe or take part in daily life of the local people. Then breakfast is served by our Thai host family in preparation for a hard but pleasurable trek (6-7 hours) through rich and wild rain forests. This challenging hike wanders through the biodiversity of the Pu Luong Nature Reserve. We will have a picnic lunch inside the Pu Luong Nature Reserve, then continuing our trek to Ton village. The land cruiser picks us up here, and its back to MaiChau, the driving to Moc Chau. Overnight in hotel  in Moc Chau. .Includes: (B) (L) (D)

Day 6: Moc Chau - Treking. ( ~ 15km ).

Heading out of the town we travel by road to tea plantation . This mountainous region is populated by the Muong, Hmong, Dao, White Thai ethnic minority groups, some of which we will see on our forthcoming adventure, take trekking tour crossing tea plan. After picnic lunch, waking back to hotel in Town. Dinner and overnight in Hotel. Includes: (B) (L) (D)

 Day 7: Moc Chau - Cuc Phuong national park

After breakfast we drive to Cuc Phuong, our final destination , in the afternoon visit botanicals garden, primate recuse central . Overnight in Cuc Phuong.  After dinner we stat the optional “night spot” tour. Includes: (B) (L) (D)

Day 8:Cuc Phuong trekking (~ 20km ).

After breakfast we transfer to Bong( 20km )  stat full day trekking cross national park  to Khanh village. Dinner and home stay in Khanh village.  Includes: (B) (L) (D)

Day  9:Cuc Phuong trekking (~7km );

Trekking to main road ( 7km ) where we meet the 4WD car, driving back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi. Includes: (B) (L)

Day10: HaNoi - HaLong Bay

 Drive to HaLong Bay. Board a refurbished wooden sailing junk for a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of HaLong Bay. Drop anchor for the night nearby a QuanLan remote island. Overnight on Boat (B) (L) (D)

Day 11: QuanLan island walking tour (10 km)

After breakfast in the morning , we start walking around of island , visit fishing village where they making fish souse. Stopping to visit one of local family near beach, relax and swim at deserted beaches, Lunch, walk back boat in noontime. Dinner and overnight on Boat. : (B) (L) (D)

QuanLan small than Cat ba island, eye of Halong bay. Remote island in Gulf of Tonkin. Few tourists ever have been.

Day 12: Halong Bay-Hanoi

Morning free time as leisure when boat cruising back to Halong city. Pm driving back to Hanoi, dinner and overnight in hotel .(B) (L) (D)
